Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Work in preconstruction helping compile tender submissions for clients within various sectors. I work with the technical experts in the preconstruction team to collate information, and use Adobe software to create an eye catching document.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy university and I love learning. The apprenticeship side lets it down unfortunately. It creates barriers for people who aren't site managers or quantity surveyors.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt a lot at university which has been useful when visiting sites as I can understand some of the methods of construction.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I'm sure it is well structured for those in site management or quantity surveying roles, but the apprenticeship isn't well structured for those other job roles in construction
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My employers are great. I have a supportive manager and mentor who I can lean on if I need to. But I feel that the degree apprenticeship isn't a one size fits all and my employer needs to recognise this and offer alternatives
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

It helps me to understand my industry better and further my knowledge of construction

We have "moving through may" to get all employees active. We also have "time out" in June where we do various activities
