Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I am working as an Innovation excellence apprentice and supporting business groups in innovation projects by providing data driven insights. On a day-to-day basis, I am involved in redesigning dashboards of SharePoint sites, formatting presentations for innovation network events, working with internal digital tools and stakeholder management by unblocking vendors.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am enjoying this programme very much. The course is giving me opportunities to enhance my knowledge and skills and the role is allowing me to apply my knowledge and skills at work in real projects.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

As part of digital business accelerator apprenticeship, I have learnt different new skills by working with new internal digital tools and have developed my skills on Excel and PowerBI. I have also built on my communication, stakeholder management and change management skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

The programme is very well organised. I am getting continuous guidance and support from the course provider. My team members are also guiding me and providing me opportunities to apply my knowledge and skills at work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Unilever is the most supportive employer. As a apprentice, I getting all required guidance and help. I am also getting encouragement to perform well and contribute effectively in my role.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider is very supportive. My coach is always answering our questions and clearing doubts. Office hours are conducted every week so that we can ask questions and get additional support if needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The knowledge and skills that I'm gaining or developing through the training is helping me to apply those in different projects and contribute to the success of my team by creating positive business impact. This is also enhancing my confidence to take more ownership and brainstorm and share new ideas with my team.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I have joined outreach development and have been to school events, networking events and career fairs to promote apprenticeships. I have reached more than 700 students and parents through these events to explain the benefits of apprenticeships. In addition, I have also joined social events such as Dove day.

Learn and research about Unilever and the great work done by each business group all over the world. Be proactive, willing to learn and be creative.
