Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
My role is mostly supporting the brand team with campaigns and getting our products seen. Day to day I work alongside sampling companies, I help with the brand's ecommerce by supporting digital assets being launched on various retailer platforms, ensure that our products have ratings and reviews online and manage internal PR.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my programme a lot. I don't dread work like I did in previous Saturday jobs! It can get stressful sometimes especially when the team is feeling pressure of campaigns but its still exciting.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt more skills than i ever thought possible since starting at Unilever and I don't see that slowing any time soon! I am so much more confident with computers, data analysis, extracting data from various platforms etc. But i have also developed many soft skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The role is well structured. I think there could be improvement in the line manager structure and knowledge of who the right people to contact are and when.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive a great deal of support when it comes to working around my schedule and factoring in life outside of work. Inside work when it is not too busy there is an abundance of support but sometimes projects and campaigns take priority over 1-2-1 meetings with managers.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Support from training providers varies. They have very high expectations and there is a large workload for apprentices. Some training providers (lecturers) are more supportive than others.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I feel that my training outside of work enables me to relate my role to the wider industry and understand why/ how my office job impacts the brand I work with and its success.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are many different extra curricular roles. Especially surrounding outreaching to potential future apprentices and delivering on the values of the business.
