Manager of 4 sections that total £3.5 million a year. Having a head count of between 6-10 members of staff.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I had a very supportive network of women that helped and supported each other on the course. This made the course more enjoyable. In region 9 we had an apprenticeship ambassador that was extremely helpful and supportive all the way through the course, he would regularly check in with me and gave a lot of encouragement which helped motivate me. My course mentors were also very helpful and supportive throughout the course.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very well structured. I knew when my work was due and when my meetings were. If I needed a little bit more time on a certain project my mentor was extremely accommodating and supportive.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

B&Q is a very supportive employer with all apprenticeships. In region 9 we were given an apprenticeship ambassador to help and support all colleagues on the Women in Leadership apprenticeship course.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I received a lot of support throughout the course. At the end of the course we were given another mentor to help with our exams and my mentor went above and beyond scheduling in extra sessions for me so that I felt 100% prepared for my exams.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I believe my qualification helps me every day. It improved my self confidence which helps me perform better and improved my organisational and time management skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We do social activities as a store such as quizzes and bowling. This is to boost team morale.
