Manage a team that cover the tills and click & collect, deal with complaints, be a duty manager, look after cash handling and banking, rotas, closing and opening the shop
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Was a rocky experience as at the begining I didn't have a coach, and then I fell really behind. When I got Melody as my coach, she really invested time into me and that's when I started enjoying it.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I'd say I developed existing skills. Different ways of thinking, dealing with conflict and building up my confidence

Easy to follow structure as long as you put the effort in and hold yourself accountable.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Now that apprenticeships are better understood, I'd say I received good support. I was allowed to do my course at home so I could he away from distractions. This helped massively.

I don't think it changed anything massively but I made me more well-rounded.

Yes
Why?
There are pros and cons to every workplace, but I have felt supported during my time at B&Q. Not always, but most. Also starting as a 19 year old, the pay has always been above everywhere else.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to B&Q?
Be yourself as everyone has different strengths and weaknesses
