Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I am primarily responsible for raising purchase orders (POs) and entering marketing campaigns into the internal system to ensure they are processed and paid.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I generally like it. There are many opportunities to get involved in activities beyond my daily job, and most people are nice.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I have developed my Excel and communication skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I feel it could be better organised. There is a lot of general information provided before starting, but nothing specific. This made it challenging for me.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I receive a good amount of support from my employer, but there is room for improvement.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
I don't think the support is sufficient to truly develop new skills. Most of it is focused on getting approved by the end of the programme. If you don't know something, you will struggle because you essentially need to teach and learn by yourself.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
To be honest, there isn't a significant impact. I mostly learn what I need to know on the job by asking colleagues or seeking information on my own.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes, lots

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It's a good starting point or a way to change careers. They have had these programmes for years, so most people are used to getting new people. They are very patient and there are lots of opportunities to grow and get involved.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
Just be yourself and give your best. Participate and speak out; let them get to know you.
