Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I work within the Academic Programme where I support the recruitment of apprentices and graduates across the UK. On a day to day basis I organise engagement activities and learning and development opportunities to ensure our academics receive a fantastic experience whilst being on Programme. I am additionally a Wellbeing Ambassador as well as STEM Ambassador. I attend University every Wednesday where I study Chartered Management.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy the degree apprenticeship. I love the balance of studying and on the job experience. I started my level 3 apprenticeship in 2020 connected to Runshaw College and then moved on to the level 6 chartered management apprenticeship now. I am so happy I took this career path.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt various skills such as communication, leadership, time management and especially project management skills through organising and leading events.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The Academic Programme is structured very well. The support is amazing by having a training provider tutor, a work manager and a people manager for extra support. Before joining the academic Programme as my job role I had various opportunities to get involved with the team through extra curricular events to develop myself.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
A lot of support at DXC, I couldn't talk negatively at all with this :)
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
A lot of support, UCLan is fantastic.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
Definitely helps, the learning I gain from University I apply to my job role and vise vesa. I can apply real life work scenario's when learning content and University to share with my class.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
A lot of engagement events to network with my colleagues as well as careers events.
