Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I’m a supervisor at my current location. I run the shifts on a daily basis ,open and close the store, cash up the tills and handle money. I’m also responsible for training new staff that we get. I also do the orders that come into the shop

Very enjoyable quite straight forward so easy to understand

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed new skills like learning to run a shift, stock management from making the orders and being able to manage my team.

I believe it is well organised as there is always support you can find if you need help with anything

Although I didn’t need any extra support, I was always checked in on to make sure I was doing ok
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I had lots of support as we had weekly meetings to check in on progress as well as signing off completed units

Would you recommend Costa Coffee to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It has slowly become the job I want go make my career to the point I’m aiming to become a store manager and run a team of my own. Also it provides excellent training so you can come in with no previous skills surrounding the job
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Costa Coffee?
Be confident at speaking to others communication is key in this job. Be able to listen and take criticism to better yourself it’s not personal it’s the job.
