Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I manage our Learning Programmes here including Apprenticeships. Working with our providers to ensure our learners have a good experience, growing the programmes and increasing the knowledge across the business of the great impact apprenticeships can have for our team members. Continually reviewing skills and capability opportunities.

To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I absolutely loved my programme. The skills and knowledge have been transformational which is already having a big impact for the business. I completed Coaching L5 in March 2026.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes I have learnt new coaching skills which is relevant to my work and personal life as well as building on existing skills too. I will continue to broaden my understanding of coaching and what it offers and have found interest in areas of expertise that I would like to develop further.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

It was very well structured with regular webinars with my cohort, workshops to put the learning into practice with my cohort and lots of self learning content on the hub. I also have regular review meetings with my coach mentor and support from my line manager.

How much support do you receive from your employer?

All the support I needed. This was from my manager as well as my peers.

All the support I needed, outside of the regular reviews if I needed extra support these needs were met.

How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I am involved in building our internal coaching culture so I have been able to make an impact not just through my coaching of team members but also as part of a coaching community.

Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We have the opportunity to become a member of the AoA which involves professional networking events, we go big on National Apprenticeship Week and invite all our apprentices to get involved to share in their experiences.
