Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
On a day-to-day basis I am heavily involved in correspondence with our clients and professionals whilst working closely with colleagues and assisting them with their properties. I am either in the office where I learn a lot from others and I also develop strong working relationships or I am out on site meeting clients and professionals where I learn a lot and can assist with managing properties.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy the programme and have made loads of positive relationships I will take through with me on my career. I am offered an abundance of support from Savills and this is across the business and teams in the office. I have been given some quality opportunities during my apprenticeship so far and I feel extremely valued within the business.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed strong working relationships and I have also been given a lot of opportunities to network with those outside of the business which has helped develop my knowledge of the industry and positive relationships. I have strengthened skills and learnt new skills through the use of systems and I have also developed strong time management skills from balancing my workload and studies at University.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
The programme is structured brilliantly and communicated really well both at the beginning of the programme as well as throughout. As an apprentice I am offered a lot of support from both the University and at Savills and when joining you're given a buddy who might be a previous apprentice that you can go to for support and endless questions.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
The support since I started the apprenticeship has been endless from colleagues, directors, the apprenticeship team and also friends I have made across the business. I always feel encouraged to take on workload and also given my hours for my apprenticeship consistently.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my training provider as they offer study support sessions as well as consistent communication with the support staff at the University, Lecturers and also my apprenticeship officer who ensures I am performing as I should and also tracking all of my hours. All staff at the university are really lovely and I feel very comfortable with my studies so far.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
I feel as if my qualification is tailored to my job role perfectly and already I have made improvements in my job as a result of skills and knowledge I have developed at University. I have learnt legislation in my degree which I have educated colleagues with and also used to understand my own work better.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lot of activities going on at Savills and I am apart of a few. I know across Savills all offices have their own team activities and in the Birmingham office we have a Women's Netball team, a Male Football team, we have been doing badminton, we have a lot of runners who have a bit of a run club and we also have a corporate membership with a local gym who offers gym access and reformer Pilates classes which myself and a lot of colleagues use consistently.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Savills to a friend?
Yes
Why?
It is a brilliant business to work for, I feel valued and I have a positive outlook on my future within the business which is heavily pushed by myself and my line manager. There are endless opportunities and lots of different businesses to join and this also helps develop knowledge of the wider business.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savills?
Make sure you read about the business and ensure it is suited to yourself and so you can really understand what we do as an organisation and what we can offer to you personally. I would advise you come into the business with a willingness to work hard and a desire to develop your skills and kickstart a stable and exciting career path.
