Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
I am an apprentice surveyor in the development team and my days vary, some days I am out on site visits assisting with viewings and other days I am helping write different kinds of reports for clients.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme as I find the work varied and interesting but also the people at Savills are very welcoming and accomodating for apprentices.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learned multiple new skills such as how to use different IT systems and software and I have also developed skills such as communication as my role is very people facing.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
My programme is well structured as I am allocated time to spend on my studies and there is a lot of support for my development in the work place through lots of CPD and workshops being put on for apprentices.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I receive plenty of support through scheduled catch ups with someone from the apprentice team and my team always ensures they answer any questions I may have.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
UCEM provide lots of support and there are lots of measures put in place so that there are various people and tools I can access if I ever have any problems or questions. You are also assigned an apprentice outcomes officer who you have catch ups with to ensure you are on the right track with both your work and study during your apprenticeship.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
Not all of the modules are specifically relevant to your role and personally I learn more from carrying out my job role hands on but it is still helpful to learn the theory behind all different aspects of real estate and it definitely helps with my industry knowledge.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are lots of regular networking events at my work and there are sports teams you can join also.
