Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role involves either serving customers drinks or snacks at the bar, while occasionally taking food over to those tables, while also doing check backs, and cleaning their tables when they are all finished. When I'm on, I tend to focus on upselling.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I did enjoy working with the team and interacting with different types of people. They offered constant support and were always excited to see me or anyone succeed.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to be more supportive to members of staff if they are struggling , and can offer advice to colleagues when they need help. I have also learnt what to priorities in a hospitality business and the necessities of each area.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My program was more structured near the end of my apprenticeship as I had to bounce between tutors. But both were really helpful and offered lots of support to help me through this apprenticeship.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My manager is always giving me his support and has continued to do so even after I've finished my apprenticeship! He also keep the team heavily motivated whenever anyone passes.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider was helping me alongside my manager. They would sometimes have discussions on what I would need to improve on or what to do to finally pass a segment I'm struggling on. So they really came through for me.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The qualification makes me feel more confident in my work, especially knowing I've finished it completely now.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There isn't much of those, but every now and then there are staff parties and team meetings to help give the staff feedback or on what has changed.

Yes
Why?
It is a great job for someone who enjoys the interactions with customers and team members alike. They are always supportive and will offer their aid should you need them.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Mitchells and Butlers?
Believe in yourself, even when things look grim. You are your only self motivator and it can come in clutch whenever it gets tough.
