My job role is a retail supervisor, who is working towards an assistant manager position beyond my apprenticeship. My day-to-day includes running the store, ensuring high levels of customer service and managing KPIs such as shrinkage, sales and stock levels.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my programme as it will prepare me for an exciting and fulfilling career in retail management.

I’ve learnt an array of skills such as managing and leading a team, coaching, HR, financial, communication and customer service skills.

The programme is organised well with a healthy balance of off the job training and practical experience and support from colleagues and fellow management.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I received a lot of support from my employer through my Area, Store and Assistant managers and my apprenticeship tutors whom encourage me for excellent career progression in retail.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive a good amount of support from engaging modules, interesting workbooks, workshops, training programs and many more which help me gain further knowledge for my qualification.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

It allows me to gain access to a different source of knowledge which is different to what my in-store management team provides me which expands my knowledge within retail operations and service, which has been very beneficial towards my experience in this role.
