Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My current role involves carrying out various maintenance tasks and general checks on gantry cranes. It can also cover pipe maintenance and fitting. It changes constantly and often tasks out the blue are given which keeps it fresh and a constant learning environment.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I thoroughly enjoy my programme due to the new challenges set everyday in real world situations and that it gives me the chance to gain qualifications while I gain on hand experience.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
I have learnt various new skills to do with fitting and am constantly able to develop existing skills that I have been taught in college.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The structure of the programme is very high level due to the vast experience the people around me can pass on and that my boss has fine tuned this programme so it is best suited over 16 years.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
I am constantly in a position where i can ask for help and given resources that can aid me in progressing the best i can.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
i receive less help from my company during college times but this is because the college supply ample help so that my employer does not need to get involved but i know that they are there to support if needed.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
the hands on side of college has allowed me a space to practice my craft so that i can use it on site, if i was to learn this all on site then i feel my skill would be limited due to the lower amount of exposure to specific skills.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
we have a golf society that i am involved with due to being a keen golfer outside work where i have met alot of people on site who i would not have otherwise.
