Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

It's too early in the apprenticeship scheme to have a solid opinion on the workforce. However I have been trusted with responsibilities this early in the scheme, and what that says about the company is that they give us a chance to prove ourself as soon as possible, see what we are capable of, and begins our work relation with trust. Keeping moral high is very important to the business by organising full days of activities, having treats in the office at least once a week and everyone is very friendly and welcoming.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy it very much. Like i said previously, Unilever tries their best to keep moral as high as possible wile also maintaining a good work effort. A very good balance for a company such as Unilever. Along with the work given, we do a lot of activities, full day outs, baked goods on average every week and of course the super nice people.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My people skills have improved since joining, however since it hasn't been to long since, I still have a long way to go. I have learnt many computer tricks making doing responsibilities easier and more efficient. Also Unilever are very much future looking so I have managed to leant a lot about AI and the different ones that might start to be integrated into the business.

How well organised/structured is your programme?

From what I have seen, it looks to be a fairly decent structured, however I'd say everyone has a very good ability to be very organised.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have weekly check-in's with them, where any questions I have built up through the week I have a chance to ask them. And of course if its a more urgent matter, then they would reply on either teams or email as soon as I message. So I'd say they give quite a bit of support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

My training provider is extremely helpful and is very kind. Although we don't have lessons that frequently, if I have any questions at all, I'd email or teams message and they are so on all the ball. They reply instantly and if the issue is not resolved their and then, then we would go on a quick call to fix whatever issue it would be. If they also see that someone is struggling in something, they would take them to the side and ask if they misunderstood something. But all in all, they are very helpful.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

Particularly for me, my course is very related to my job role, in terms of what responsibilities I've been tasked to do, or how I act in the workplace, or the standard of my work. It is easy for me to relate the two whilst at work.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I'm not too sure whether their are any sport teams in the workplace, however their are multiple professional networking events that happen in the workplace, that involves everyone in the office that's in Unilever. This again gives me a chance to improve my people skills.

Would you recommend Unilever to a friend?
Yes
Why?
For all the reasons I've listed above. Everyone is very nice and welcoming, we have outdoor activities all the time, they make doing work enjoyable and something to look forward to. And like I said, they try their best to keep moral as high as possible at all times, whilst also maintaining a good work standard.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
Just be yourself. Coming into this role I thought I had to be this macho man, very professional and serious but honestly its so far from what I thought it would be. Of course their is a level of professionality in the workplace but not what I thought. Being yourself, what it allows you to do is to feel comfortable from the jump and people will instantly take you in and make you feel as if you've been in the team for years.
