Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role at work involves keeping the shop floor presentable for customers by stocking shelves and ensuring products are on the shop floor under the correct price tag, being on the tills and working delivery stock whilst learning along the way with doing study time weekly.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy my apprenticeship very much because the company have created a great and safe working environment and the team I have around me are all very supportive of my apprenticeship work and always help out if I need any help.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

My apprenticeship has helped me develop my communication skills from being quite a shy person keeping myself to myself to being a very outgoing and talkative person. I have also developed a better understanding of the ins and outs of retail.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My apprenticeship is very well organised having a straight forward plan from the very start of aims and objectives to reach by the end of the course with having a structured schedule of study hours and hours spent on the shop floor.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer when needed I can always ask or use apps and services provided by the employer themselves.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I receive the upmost support and have done since my first day on the job.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification helps me to perform better by giving me better understanding of why we do jobs rather than just stocking shelves and scanning items I know the ins and out and the consequences of not doing certain jobs.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

We sometimes have social activities like team bonding nights out like our Christmas party.

The company has created a great environment to learn and work while enjoying what your doing with a great team around you and various people there to support you the whole way through in a very judge free zone
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Savers?
Be prepared to put your all into it as it will all pay off from personal experience at the start I don’t think I put in as much effort as I could’ve and almost took this opportunity for granted and people around me helping me with my apprenticeship spoke to me about it and i decided to turn it around where I’m getting my work done earlier than deadlines and am overall ahead of where I should be and I feel it has benefitted me so much doing this apprenticeship and I am now looking to progress onto the next level and staying working at savers and working my way through the apprenticeship scheme.
