Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work with a customer so that their orders are being fulfilled, and attempt to fix any issues to ensure high service.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I appreciate the position I am in and believe myself to be very fortunate considering the current job market and state of university loans, and believe my job to be useful to my greater development.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Supply chain is something that was very new for me, and although it wasn't what I envisioned when I applied, and isn't where I see my career going, I believe it has been and will be useful going forward.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

There are some issues regarding the rotational aspect of the scheme, but I always get my 1 day a week to do university study and my colleagues and manager are very accomodating
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is a lot. There are a lot of apprentices and all my colleagues are very accommodating towards giving me extra support in the workplace so that I can complete my university work.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The training provider on the whole are very good, some teaching could be condensed, and some in person days could have been avoided but on the whole generally good.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

At the moment, there is not much application but I am sure that will change as I move through the next modules.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Lots of apprenticeships on offer and therefore pathways to gain qualifications and experience without going the traditional route.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Unilever?
Do your research on the business, contact previous and current apprentices via LinkedIn or other and be confident in your answers, either written or spoken throughout the application process.
