Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Creating and executing in-store marketing strategies and campaigns. Managing budgets, and collaborating with commercial and brand teams. It requires insight into shopper behavior, campaign development, and maintaining customer relationships to drive brand growth and enhance the shopper experience.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy the day-to-day culture and interactions with colleagues, building relationships with not just those in your team but others who you work with on completion of projects. There is lots of support from all around, lending a hand when you get to a barrier

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I learn new skills and strategies on a day-to-day basis, recently looking into negotiation skills and outcomes, as well as data gathering, analysis and presentation. Using that data to present campaign evaluations and suggestions for internal and external benefit.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Semi-regular in-person Uni days for lectures and catch-up days. Lots of support from Unilever for getting uni work completed on time
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
A lot, constant check-ins on the work-uni balance to ensure that both areas are kept up to pace and standard. Strong apprentice community with meet-ups and development teams.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Always there when you need, lots of online resources easily accessible
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
It helps me to develop using the theories taught on my course in my everyday role. Especially the project management side, as I can use these directly in my role
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I enjoy the social experience with team days/evenings and apprentice meet-ups.
There are apprentice development teams, I am in the outreach team, where we go to career fairs, school assemblies, parents evenings to talk to Key stage 3/4 on the benefits of an apprenticeship.
