Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Working as a Statistician in providing statistical expertise to support the R&D activities of GSK and product transition to manufacturing. I work on lots of projects involving a variety of different products/drugs creating reports presenting analyzed data using specialist software which means I need to constantly liase with various colleagues including scientists, engineers, statisticians etc so they have the information they need. I do lots of training too so I can always improve my skills and keep learning on the job.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Yes, spearheading meeting and presentations. Consistent communications through emails etc including forming reports and performing analyses directly working on code used by colleagues.
