Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Every month or so we rotate to a new department to learn more about the company and how it works, we also pick up skills from these departments that we can use when we are out in the field. Majority of the time we will spend on Correctives which is the department that goes around to TFL sites and stations in and around London fixing faults, for example a broken camera at piccalilli circus station.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
Greatly enjoyed my time so far and I will hopefully carry on enjoying it, Telent and our apprenticeship managers Lisa cunningham and James Brown have always been nice, accommodating and understanding along with the rest of my colleagues at Telent who are very knowledgeable and never get annoyed with the amount of questions I ask.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
We have been taught a lot about electronics and the network industry by our college and also the company itself, the company does training courses such as introduction to CCTV and network & IP basics which are always packed full of information and very useful for when we are out in the field.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

Overall it's quite well structured but if we are ever confused we can always ask our managers who can clarify.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend telent to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Ultimately the most important thing about the company that makes me recommend it to friends and family is that it seems like it genuinely cares about it's employees and wants them to do well.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to telent?
You get out what you put in, if you show interest in what you're doing and are always open to learning then you can grow a lot within this company.
So show genuine effort/interest and don't be afraid to ask questions when applying and even after you get the job.
