Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Industrial placements have the responsibility of ensuring their project progresses, day to day tasks include researching the science behind the project, optimising experiments, partaking in group discussions and data analystics.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
Was essentially in charge of my own project which although not affecting the project progression I and my manager saw value in. I was able to drive the project forward as I saw fit.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?
I learnt countless skills but if I had to pinpoint one it would be my ability to consisely and clearly communicate my thoughts in a group setting with confidence (which I was lacking previously). This has helped me push my project forward and engage in opportunities I was previously too insecure to take hold of.
