Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

the day starts with a morning meeting where we discuss what happened the day before and what tasks are to be completed during the day. Then before I start any work we complete all relevant health and safety documents, after which work commences.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I thoroughly enjoy coming to work every day and learning new skills, interacting with colleagues

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

during my 9 months being at tarmac i have learnt many skills. Include all types of conduit bending, i have learnt about various panel components what there job is and how they function. I have also learnt many of the health and safety regulations and to strictly abide to them.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?

When I come into work every morning we are given a task and I go to college twice a week studying level 2 on a Friday and level 3 Monday
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive help form all work colleagues on training and general enquirers
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I have regular meetings with the college assessor where we discuss how college is going and if there is any problems

Somethings at college help me when at work however somethings don't have any relevance to anything i do at work
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

My company volunteers to send workers to help maintain the peak district by planting tress, digging trenches and maintaining fields etc...

It is a nice working environment and can give you many skills to be taken and used for other things. they also care about there employees and take the things they say into consideration
