Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
5 days, 9-5 everyday with some breaks in between. Mostly listening to presentations on what you would need to know to work in analysis and sales/global data. Also some interactive activities involving an escape room, chat with customers simulation, public speaking. As well as working on a group presentation throughout the week. Also got access to a really great online market concepts course.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
Very detailed information about the business, potential roles and career progressions available to participants.

Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
Significantly increased understanding of the markets, what Bloomberg does, what its like to work in finance. Improved public speaking skills, group work, and understanding how to use terminal. Also just a lot more general finance knowledge from the online course.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
Very useful and gave me a lot of information about the company and the positions. However the presentations were very long and a bit tiring.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Bloomberg
For applying: read up about recent news. Also, make sure you read about the role and know that you really are interested in doing this as a job as the presentations go really in detail and can be a bit boring if it turns out you are not as interested in the role.
