Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work at SAP as a PreSales associate working in the innovation labs, my team looks after the experience centre which is an area where customers, partners and internal presentations and demos take place. There are ways to be proactive in the labs you look for small things to troubleshoot. You can also involve yourself in the various projects the team has going on to constantly learn new skills.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the program a lot every week I face new challenges and have to adapt to tricky technical situations I find myself in. I see a lot of growth in all areas not just technical skills but when it also comes to my presentation skills and soft skills. This has been possible by taking different tasks.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have massively improved in technical areas, I have learnt how to use SAP software through shadowing managers that specialise in using those software. Through projects I have improved my understanding of programming having complete app deployment tasks requiring all sorts of languages such as Java, Python and CSS.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

It is well organised every apprenticeship module we have set is spaced and scheduled in our calendars. Other tasks we have the freedom to space how we like or we space it out with the team depending on what the task is. For example for a personal project I may choose to work at my own pace however a group project may have a 5 week deadline.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive support all the mentoring I require is covered same with any training I want to take. Not to mention the workplace being a friendly environment, able to ask any question.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

The qualification certification training is covered by the business, not to mention some are made compulsory.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

For example for SAP analytics Cloud I had a qualification course to take, this helped massively in the play back at the end of the module.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are football teams, other sport teams and societies to take part in. SAP is a welcoming environment for all people and has opportunities for everyone to take part in. For example in the main building there is a free gym for everyone to use.

Why?
The growth I've seen in myself since joining SAP has been exponential not just in my skills at work but in life as a whole. SAP is a great place to learn new things and gain different perspectives in all aspects of life.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to SAP?
Be yourself, showing charisma and personality is the great way to land the job. A lot of applicants will have similar skills and background, show you are a useful asset to have in the workplace to gain a higher chance of receiving the job.
