Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

As a metal fabricator my day-to-day involves lots of hands on work including the use of amazing tools and equipment such as guillotines that I wouldn't really get the chance to do if I was anywhere else.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I really enjoy my programme as its more hands on compared to theory work which I learn better doing

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills that I can apply inside and outside of work. Learning to use tools and different techniques greatly helps me complete my work. My existing skills such as welding have drastically improved too as there is a lot of knowledge I didn't know

I have applied to be a runner for the field gun however that has not happened yet

It is by far the best apprenticeship scheme out there for people looking to develop and work in engineering and the support and skillsets you gain after is immense
