Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Daily Maintenance, Breakdowns, Electrical and mechanical engineering.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I feel as though the practical side of the programme was great but the theory side not so much, as I feel as though what your learning at college should be followed on when coming back to company.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt milling and turning from doing a training course at glos col. I have also had freezer training to improve my understanding on how they work.
Overall I feel as though i have learnt great mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
I feel as though there needs to be more structure at company. When I say this I mean knowing what your doing day to day instead of coming in wondering what your meant to do. I do also feel as though new apprentices should go around with the older engineers doing breakdowns and day to day maintenance to get them used to the machinery and environment.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
From the engineers at work I receive a lot of support but my employer not so much.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
I feel as though it's going well as I'm near my EPA. I do feel doing professional discussions help a lot with building confidence.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel overall that there needs to be more communication between the AMRC and Unilever to better the learning. When i say this i mean doing practical tasks at work that relates to what were doing at college at the time.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Gym Onsite
Annual Christmas do
Golf society
