Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
3/5
I normally cover the lines daily with breakdowns and do planned maintenance on machinery that isn't running. I work alongside the shift engineers as well. I attend the engineering morning meeting daily.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I do enjoy it, it is an interesting place to work

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I learnt a lot about electrical fault finding, mechanical fault finding, PLC work, contractor management, LOTO, driving MEWPs and taking on responsibility in an engineering environment.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Kind of organised - college days are all organised but you are put with the shift engineers with all APLs not being line side and can't really see what you are up to day to day.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I get support I need from engineering side
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
It is predominantly up to you to get work done and evidence, they push you to an extent but it's mainly down to you
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It makes you more aware of your job and the importance it has throughout the company and the business. Also, you learn more making you a valuable asset.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
No
