Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
2/5
Day-to-day experiences vary entirely on the placement that you have been allocated to. Each placement usually last 6 months with varying degrees of engagement.
Tasks can consist of updating document templates, process confirmations or shadowing senior members of staff through a specific complex task.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
Again, very placement dependant.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
2/5
Microsoft excel skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
1/5
Not.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
2/5
The perceived support is again dependant on the placement that you are in. Some line managers make sure that the 6 months are planned and involve some sort of PDP, others not so much.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
Minimal.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
1/5
I do not feel that the qualification helps me to perform better in my role.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
1/5
No.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
No
Why?
Poor program organisation which results in a feeling of experiencing a lack of professional development.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Research you specific role so that you understand clearly what your job will entail. The job adverts are entirely vague and generic.
