Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Each day we attended insight sessions into Stephenson Harwood’s practice groups. Those presenting were passionate and very happy to answer questions.
Throughout the week we completed tasks set by different departments. This included research tasks and creating a presentation.
Mid week we completed an assessment centre and there were evening socials. This gave us a chance to meet some trainees and ask questions

What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
I learnt about the flexibility within the firm and their culture of not forcing specialisms early on in your career

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
This week has developed my commercial awareness and allowed me to practice my research and drafting skills. It also developed my presentation and public speaking skills.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Such a positive, passionate group of people. Their creative mentality was evident throughout the week. It would be lovely to work in such an environment.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
It was really enjoyable. I learnt so much more than I thought I would, particularly about some of the practice groups. The week has opened my eyes to seat options I hadn’t previously considered.
