Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
Each day we were given the opportunity to listen to speakers from different departments across Bloomberg. We were put into project groups and worked together in preparation for a presentation at the end of the week in addition to different sessions on how to use the terminal.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
It was really interesting. The Insight week gave a great and honest overview of the company culture, the paths for progression and the amazing opportunities to there are to move between roles and departments in the organisation.

Yes - lots. I really improved my public speaking (even virtually!) and learned so much about the finance industry.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Fantastic. So inclusive, learning is really encouraged and it's quite normal for people to change roles/try things outside of their job spec which really shows their commitment to continuous learning. Bloomberg Philanthropies is also very impressive.

To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I really enjoyed the Insight week and was so impressed with how well organised it was and how well it worked virtually. (Though of course, I would have loved to have met everyone and spent time in the famous Bloomberg offices!)

Do your research. Understand what's happening in finance, learn about the terminal and the Global Data VS Analytics team and emphasise your collaboration skills.
