Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
throughout my apprenticeship I move placements within combat systems every 6 months for the first two years then I have two year long placements on the last two years. In my current placement I interact with my team which includes older apprentices who guide me on what to do and I assist them with any tasks. These tasks often include using software like excel, autoCAD and windchill.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy my programme

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my skills on many different software applications like excel, word, outlook and i have learned how to use autoCAD and windchill through starting this role. My confidence and communication skills have massively improved from interactions with colleagues daily.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
I think the structure of the programme is adequate particularly with having a Friday dedicated for university work and being on campus one of these Fridays a month. The only thing I would like to happen/hear more about if this is possible is having a day or two study leave before an exam on the Wednesday/Thursday prior to the Friday exam.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive adequate support from my employer, with communicating often and knowing I can always get in contact for any more support.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
the support from the university is good.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
through my qualification we do a work based learning assignment where we relate what we learn at university to our jobs which has been good to know what i am learning is useful for my role. There may be some parts of the course i have not yet used in my role but overall i would say it helps.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
2/5
I think there are but i am unaware of these and have not attended any.
