Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
Processing ice cream trials, running physical measurements on mixes and ice cream made. Organising and attending tastings and project meetings.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
A lot as I have gained lots of new transferable skills and knowledge as well as meeting new people.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
Yes, developed understanding of ice cream and the results from physical measurements.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Every Friday we have a University day to study and do our assignments. Our first 2 years is one team and then we rotate yearly into different teams. The onboarding isn't as structured on our site as it has less apprenticeship events compared to other sites.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
We are given enough time to do our studying towards our degrees and through rotations are given the opportunity to gain new knowledge.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A lot of support, we are given enough time to do Uni work and assignments. Also, the knowledge and experience we gain through our job roles helps us towards our degree.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
The learning and knowledge we gain at Uni helps towards my job role and vis versa.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Yes, there are various sport and social activities onsite as well as off site that you can take part in. There aren't many professional networking events at the site I am based at but other sites do have these events.
