Very much, the course is interesting and I like that we are able to do rotations in different roles to get a wider understanding of the business.

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Yes, firstly ice cream knowledge and knowledge of equipment. But also soft skills like organisation & planning, team work, project management
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

Relatively- we have rotations for set amounts of time and we are given a day a week for university study. Other than that the programme is can be quite different depending on the role you're in. The onboarding process when I joined wasn't very structured but this was during covid and it has improved since.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

Unilever is very supportive. We are given plenty of time for university work, support for managing workload and training. As well as having access to employee benefits. It is a great employer to work for!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

Lots, we're always given a day a week for university study as well as the option for an extra day around exams. Our line managers are always involved with our uni mentor catch ups and support with our ksbs that need completing.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

My qualification helps build my technical knowledge, teamwork and critical thinking.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, I'm involved in netball, paddleboarding, quiz nights, as well as work events such as celebrations etc
We have lots of clubs onsite as well as arrangements out of work for those that would like.
