3.4/5 - Structure and Support

Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Looking into data and anomalies, contacting relevant SMEs regarding accuracy. Reporting on the data via graphs and statistics and looking into queries and automation methods to improve efficiency of the reports and data.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I enjoy the programme, however, the relevancy of some University modules can be questioned.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed my technical and Excel skills and am now very proficient with Excel and Power Queries.
I have developed a range of Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, including project management skills, data management skills, business competencies, and software development skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
The programme is well structured, however, as the first cohort at our branch, the organisation is often last minute.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
We receive a lot of support from the employer, with placement, training and with wellbeing.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
We receive support, however, it is not always the most useful, depending on Module. There is a lot of independent study, as opposed to teaching, and the skills coach interaction is limited.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
The qualification is helpful in areas, however, often unrelated to our business unit. As we break into specialisms, i am hopeful it will become more centralised around data and will provide more relevancy.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are often workshops or 'Away' days where they are professional working events. Within individual teams there are often social events, especially when somebody is due to leave the team. The LHAC also provides opportunity for social activities.
