Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
movement around placements in design, quality and engineering. Ability to utilise flexi-time once timekeeping ability is provided. Often worked with production/operations as the customer and myself as the supplier or liaising with the contracted suplier
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
Highly enjoyed certain placements but detested others. Overall it has been a massively positive provided a level of experience I wouldnt achieve elsewhere. This programme has not only prepared me for airbus but also a potential future career elsewhere as well as any kind of future endeavour, personal or career based.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Project management, developing work relationships, improving upon business processes and manufacturing systems. Engineering technical knowledge. Managing contractors, CATIA design skills and health and safety management skills

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
very well organised and provisions for easy and actionable feedback. The structure provides a wide engineering overview and experience but lack of experience in production often leads to a level of disconnect between engineers and production operators.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
this depends on the placement and the placement managers but for the most part, support is provided whenever I request it. The early careers managers are available for support 100% of the time
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
high amount of support whenever asked along with consistent update meetings to ensure I am on track with my qualifications. This is not the same with the university work and support must be requested and not always given if the tutor is too busy
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
provides a wide range of engineering technical knowledge that I have been able to apply throughout my different roles
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are plenty of activities ranging massively and they are very easy to become a part of
