Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

My role includes learning the skill set and knowledge of what a fully qualified mechanical fitter needs to know in their day to day working life. It includes learning workshop skills and about health and safety as well as maths, science and pneumatic/hydraulic systems and how they work.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy all aspects of my programme as it gives me knowledge and helps me develop in many different areas.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt how to use a range of hand tools as well as machines like pillar drills, lathes, milling machines and bandsaws.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

My programme is fairly well organised however at times there are miscommunications and things we aren’t told when maybe we should be prior to the time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

The employer provides the adequate level of training and help with issues if we require it however this could be more visible in college.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

We receive an okay level of support from our training provider.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I feel it helps a great deal as there are things learnt through training that have now made tasks in the workshop much easier.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

I would say the apprenticeship lacks this sort of aspect however there is work to improve on it.

Yes
Why?
Because it is an extremely good company to work for that provides a good apprenticeship and job for the future.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
Always ask questions and be curious about why things happen and why we take different steps in order to finish a product.
