I am currently in the first year of my mechanical fitter apprenticeship, I have learned a lot about company behaviors, and learning more about my responsibilities in keeping my employer updated and interacting both between the college and BAE staff. I have been in college doing tasks for my learning assistant and am now transitioning to the next park of my apprenticeship.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I am really enjoying it as there is so much knowledge and skills to gain from it. I have been a little worried with certain things with being knew to this but with encouragement and support from fellow colleagues and tutors I have managed to advance and carry on and really get through it all to the best of my ability.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

All the skills I have learned have been mainly new as it has been a complete career change but I have had the support along the way. I have taken skills I have learned with me in different ways like behaviors, collaboration and adaptability. I am still developing and progressing with skills.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

We are communicated well with, and are updated using a Canvas system and if missed on there we can always ask anyone and others in the group. Everyone is approachable.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support, they really want the best out of us all and give encouragement. Everyone is very approachable and if they cant find an answer to a question they will ask around to see if anyone can help us.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

I also receive a lot of support with my training provider in the same way as my employer.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
