Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My role has expanded to all forms of project management. My main roles include, Project Supply Chain and Project Material Management. I also have the role of managing a Team from a Project point of view, by assisting with Procurement, Non-Standard Requests and assisting with engaging with the function
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my programme, I am able to move around the business at my will. I have flexible hours whilst I work. I tailor my days of work to what is going on that day. The 4 days of work in placement, and then 1 day at uni (term time), is also good as it gives good balance to the working week.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have developed many skills, including stakeholder management, by liaising with supply chain on a constant basis. Scheduling and estimating by developing new plans and ways forward for showing executive summary's. Problem solving, for developing new material management efficiencies. Just to name a few.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
It is very structured, the company and the training provider all use the same software to communicate with the apprentices, keeping all comms in one place. The university material is all kept in one page, which is split out week by week all organised, which structures the programme fantastically.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Early careers support is second to none. Constant communications, 12 weekly reviews. 12 weekly group reviews. Functional workshops.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
Overall the uni is good, half lecture, half independent work. The uni tutors have difficulty sometimes in establishing consistent messages, especially with assignment briefs.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Gives me the fundamental knowledge required to be a project manager. However the book does not always occur in real life, and this isn’t really broadcasted to apprentices.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
Yes there is extra off the job work we can all do.
