Overview of Role
Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

In the second year of this apprenticeship (which I am currently in), we rotate around different departments/placements within the company. During each placement, we get to experience what they do. This of course varies with each placement, but so far I have been involved in a huge variety of projects and a huge variety of tasks. Some of which include testing cards and equipment, building and soldering cards, PCB processing and assembly, schematic capture and PCB layout analysis and design, 3D design, inspection methods - x-ray, microscopes, etc. These are only a few examples.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the variety of tasks that I have had the privilege to be involved with. I have worked on some incredible projects and met great people so far. My technical skills and personal development has improved massively. I feel like we are given a nice amount of responsibility, and we are always learning and developing.

In my time on this apprenticeship, I have developed wide rang eof skills varying from technical knowledge to personal development.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I feel that the programmed is structured well. There have been some issues I feel with the placement rotations, but this is due to availability/space within certain departments, and what they are currently doing. Of course, this cannot be helped on most occasions and is normally just due to poor timing (in terms of what the department may be doing at your time to join them). So, overall I think it is well structured.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

There is always support available when required. From experience, if you are struggling with something or may require a bit of extra help, you only need to ask and they will do everything they can to support you.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I feel that the tutors are extremely knowledgably and will offer to hep when they can. However, I have had some issues in terms of needing support, and it only becoming available after the submission of an assignment.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
My role at the moment, throughout my second year placements, requires a lot of technical knowledge. Of course your supervisors and others within the departments are always happy to explain something if you aren't quiet sure, but it's very beneficial to have a strong background of technical electronic knowledge and theory.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Yes, there are networking evets. Regular charity events are held, there are multiple sports teams avaliable, and social activities within departments are often held.
