Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
5/5
My role involves working with Account Executives in supporting them with deals be that prospecting, shadowing, sending emails/making calls. It also includes an aspect of learning about the products and finding the best ways to position them to customers when trying to open deals, deal with escalations or closing deals.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
5/5
I enjoy the programme to a high extent. The reason behind this is because I see a future in this role and it is something that I have been striving to do for the last 5 years and finally having a role in sales is huge for my future and I know the responsibilities I have at the moment will help me in many years to come.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have developed my communication skills and customer service skills. I learnt these skills from previous jobs roles being very confident but have seen them excel in my position now due to the reason I am speaking to people every day being customer or colleagues. My new skills I have learnt is management of self, keeping on top of the workload with prioritization and supporting those who are needing it.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
5/5
Extremely organised. We have multiple alignment meetings to check on how we are doing and if support is needed. For example at the moment we have weekly sessions on professional development, giving us high level teaching on how to become a professional in the role physically but mentally and show it in all aspects of our work.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive a lot of support from my manager, I have a weekly one to one call with her to discuss how my week has been, is there anything I need help with or anything that she would like to be completed. If I have any queries, they are always there to offer help straight away to find a solution.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
We receive a fair amount of support from our training providers. They are there to support us and help us if that be guiding us through the work or having an in depth conversation about it as they want to see us succeed in our qualifications.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel very strongly that my qualification will help me perform better in my role, as we are constantly talking about current events and how to work around them in sales roles, and the theory we learn supports us as we can try to put it into practice in the workplace and see how it works.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
I am involved in the SAP golf society with 60 members. We play 4 course throughout the year and it is very good social network and element, getting to meet employees you may not connect with regularly.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend SAP to a friend?
Yes
Why?
I believe that it is very good company to start building your career at no matter the role due to the responsibilities and projects you are allowed to run. For example, I am leading a project with my team in the first 7 months of being at the company at 18 years old, something I wouldn't have been able to do at university. It is great starting position to build you career and continue at SAP.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to SAP?
I would recommend to learn the company or have an understand of what SAP do first as that will impress the interviewer but also to be confident in yourself and own abilities. Be positive and happy and try to leave a lasting image of yourself so you are remembered and they may be more likely to remember you.
