Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I create slips and contracts for the insured, discussing coverage with underwriters, reverting back to insured with best solution and visiting Lloyds to see underwriters.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I really enjoy working for this company, have such a lovely team who respect my work time/study time balance.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Technical skills have improved, email etiquette, confidence with people and people skills.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
20% of my work week is designated to study and the apprenticeship programme which equals around 1 day per working week. I also have 'classes' that take us through exam content.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
Loads of support given, everyone's very willing to help out if I need it. Especially in revision.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
1/5
My mentor is great. Training providers to push for deadlines. They do hour calls that are similar to a school lesson to help us learn content. Give us access to a video site but that only gives you basic understanding.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It helped me learn the role of a broker in depths EG) who is the primary and types of broker, signing lines ect - other than that my role can be quite different to exams.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
Loads of opportunities, there's a rugby and a netball team. Fully furnished gym downstairs, summer and winter parties.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend WTW to a friend?
Yes
Why?
Lovely environment to work with flexible working hours. People are very friendly and supportive. So much ability to move around internally.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to WTW?
Be yourself in the interview process as that will help decide what team you fit best into with the type of people you will gel the most with. You don't need to be the smartest in the room but if you get along with your team and can work well with them that's more important.
