Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Travelling to site, meeting new customers on this site and then getting to work with a variety of tasks which are different with every site visit. This can vary from a PMV to a full change in a piece of software or hardware. Once the changes have been made we draw a conclusion and sign out.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
I enjoy my programme very much due to every site visit having a new problem to solve and also the flexibility of this job is the best thing because it allows me to be able to work at my own pace and complete my own tasks without the need to be rushed.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
I have learnt so many new skills including working with new coding languages or working with new software on site, or even working with new pieces of hardware which has enabled me to be more individual when it comes to working on site which has then built trust in all of my other workers.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
My site work and my project are very well organised and i can keep up with what i am doing in a months time using GSP, however the college aspect of my apprenticeship is very disappointing if i am being honest, this can be down to the college as well, but most of the time we have no idea when assignments are set or due and we don't get teachers turning up for classes either half of the time.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
I used to receive a lot of support and help at the start of the apprenticeship, but as i have gone further through, i have received less and less, this could be due to the fact i am more individual now and i have a stronger knowledge but i don't especially get 'checked in' on very much.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
3/5
I do receive a lot of help from my training provider and it is very useful for me as i try to improve my knowledge of specific topics which can be useful when i am on site with new workers as i can show off what i know and what i don't know
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
I feel that my training provider helps me a lot in my role and it gives me knowledge to be able to complete tasks on my own without any supervisor and it also makes my co workers more confident in my ability which is a very nice feeling to have the trust.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
There are multiple extra-curricular activities which are held at Siemens and these can include team bodning activities, for instance we are doing a long bike ride with a BBQ this year, but there is also lots of networking events which you can attend and these are offered very frequently so take the chances!

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend Siemens to a friend?
Yes
Why?
There are so many benefits when applying to Siemens and the training we receive is top notch, the benefits outside of work allow you to travel, save money or even go to the gym for a cheaper cost. As well as this, the training we receive is top of the range and so they will be full of new knowledge in a short space of time working at Siemens
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
One piece of advice i would give to someone applying to Siemens is that you are applying to one of the biggest and most advanced companies across the world, so i think it would be ideal to have a high level of flexibility as this company is very flexible with you and it is one of the best benefits about the job.
