Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I work with a siemens software called plant simulation and build simulations of different areas of our factory to help improve processes and look at changes before they are made. I am also working on various projects to help standardise the work across the shop floor and visualise the progress/success at different stages of the production line.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I would say that I have enjoyed my programme more than not. It has allowed me to gain exciting new experiences and develop myself in all different manors that I wouldn't have been able to if not with Siemens. The people around me also have contributed to making my experience enjoyable.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have developed lots of new skills along the way, especially working with new software its helped me to develop skills using industry used software. I have also been able to develop my communication skills as well as general IT skills
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I'd say the apprenticeship course side with Axia is very well structured and lay out however in work could be a bit more clearer.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

My manager offers me any support that I need and will answer anything I have questions about. I haven't necessarily needed any further support than past my manager as of yet but he has been completely open to helping me if needed.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

They are happy to help with any questions I have and provide fast responses to any emails I send
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I'd say it has help to provide the foundations for what I need within my role and there is a lot more to come from the course which I'm sure will be able to be put into practice.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

There a quite a few opportunities to get involved with at siemens, we have an ECP group (NextUK) which organise all kinds of events from, personal developments sessions to just social activities. There are also other clubs that can be joined to get involved with different activities.

Why?
I think as an apprentice and being at the start of your career Siemens is a really good place to work, they try to create a sense of community with the ECPs so that everyone knows each other and you don't feel like your in it on your own, they also offer a lot of support with your career development and give you many opportunities within your apprenticeship to develop new skills and develop yourself.
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
To just be yourself, Siemens are a company that don't just look at the grades you have on a piece of paper but actually look at what kind of person you are as an individual and what you specifically can bring to the table, so that's why it's really important to be your genuine self.
