To learn about Siemens technology and to then apply this in relevant roles throughout the placements which I find myself in. Beyond this, I am to find a role which I find suits me best and to work towards a position in this field.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

I enjoy the program quite a lot, I have had some of the best experiences of my life with the backdrop of this apprenticeship and would highly recommend it to anyone not only looking to make those university style connections but also hoping to progress/challenge themselves.
Skills Development
Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I have learnt many new skills throughout this apprenticship, especially with it being during my early adult life where a huge amount of mental changes occur. I believe, the apprenticeship, along side the necessary techincal skills, has taught me to believe in my abilities and to be more confident in my approach to work.
Structure and Support
How well organised/structured is your programme?

I believe, with every large company, there are many problems surrounding organisation and bureaucracy, but im comparison to other anetdotes I have heard, Siemens seems to have managed to create a very well structured program with only minor teething issues.
How much support do you receive from your employer?

I receive a lot of support from my employer, whether that be emotional or even financial support. There are certain measures in place to help out those desperately in need/struggling
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
Up until now, I have recieved full support when working towards the qualifications, whether that be being given the space to prepare for examinations or being provided with the training/knowledge to make the necessary improvements.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

I think the qualification has allowed me to take on projects which I wouldn't have previously have had the knwoledge or confidence to take on and so I think it has opened up many different opportunties to me.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Within Siemens UK there is a platform known as NextUK which I have been a part of since the day I arrived and within this platform, events are held which are targetted at improving social contacts, personal development and many other abilities. Most recently, a team within NextUK have taken on the challenge of building a Produce garden to help supply the local community which then later on could have the potential to help others learn how to use tech with purpose.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Siemens?
Be yourself, and focus on your personal attributes, not your technical knowledge as that can be taught but personal attributes are harder to teach.
