Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
I started as an Operations Supervisor - essentially ensuring a smooth, safe operation and assisting where needed. Managing associates (Staff) and ensuring quality is up to par. I then moved into the quality and standard work - ensuring processes are 1. valid and correct, 2. followed and adhered to and 3. ensuing the team are informed with changes
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
4/5
The workload is a lot. But it is enjoyable. the dynamic environment poses challenges to managing stress levels and ensuring priorities are kept in order, but the experience is worth it in my opinion. Getting a break from the operation to attend Uni is a great way to reset.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
I have learnt and developed my soft skills in relation to communicating with a variety of stakeholders - contractors, senior leadership, direct reports etc. I have also learnt some data analysis skills, as i begin to spend more time deep diving. This is benefiting my root cause analysis skills and trend identification.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
Pretty well for the first year, then pretty poorly after. The academic side seems alright however the work side appears fairly 'ad-hoc'. the structure for job rotation was solid for the first year of the course and then it just seemingly fell off with little to no contact with course organizer
How much support do you receive from your employer?
4/5
enough, the employer has been decent in my opinion, at giving me ample opportunity to focus on my studies
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
4/5
enough, the employer has been decent in my opinion, at giving me ample opportunity to focus on my studies
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
4/5
Applying what i learn at university straight into the workplace, provides a better learning capacity as things make sense quicker as you can visualize things you have learnt
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
yes, my employer provides a lot of extra curricular activities. I have seen events for: Go-Karting, Paintball, Axe throwing, Beach Clean ups, food events and more
