Overview of Experience
Please give an overview of the insight and what was involved on a day-to-day basis.
The agenda over the 3 days were nicely organised to give us an insight into life as a Software Developer for Amazon. Day 2 and 3 were mostly about working with your mentor on some coding problems in small groups which helped me to develop my coding skills and also realise the type of skills I would need to work at Amazon.
What was it like understanding all about the business and potential roles available?
I really enjoyed the Q&A sessions because they gave us sufficient time to ask all the questions we had and most of them were answered. We also had the opportunity to ask our mentors directly for help in our smaller groups which was really helpful.

Yes, I learnt the concept of peer coding which we worked on with our mentors. I also learnt some common coding mistakes to look out for which will really help me when I code.

What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
Although we were working from home, everyone that spoke to us were friendly and open to answering questions. Our mentor encouraged us to ask him questions and also was kind enough to suggest his help when he could see we needed it.

Overall Experience
To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
I enjoyed it as it gave me a realistic insight into the business. I especially enjoyed getting to code with the mentor as we could see how an Amazon Software Developer would deal with certain coding problems which was really useful.
