Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
My daily tasks involve reviewing Local Plans, Local Plan monitoring, advising clients, writing reports for land promotion and planning applications.
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
3/5
I feel supported, it has been challenging at times but there is lots of help and guidance if needed. My university course can however be quite repetitive.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
3/5
Yes, I have developed skills in writing and communication as well as project management.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
3/5
There are regular training days and I can arrange meetings with any of my team if needed.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
3/5
Lots! Prioritising and managing workload has been difficult at times but I can get support whenever I need it.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
I have a mentor at work and a line manager. University is less supportive and less willing to assist but I get help from peers at work who have previously studied the degree apprentice course if I need additional guidance.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
I get briefed either my email or in person, I then gain constructive feedback from my team or whoever I am working with on how to improve.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
3/5
I go to regular CPD events which involve seminars or networking drinks. I have met lots of people and these also assist my day to day role with client/stakeholder relationships and updates.
