Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
Attended various panel talks about how to apply to do an internship as a software developing engineer, what it is like being a software developing engineer and what Amazon is like to work for. Also attended coding workshops.
Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
I was given the responsibility to attend all of the provided workshops and panel talks and interviews. I was also given the responsibility to work in small teams and program in groups

How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?
I was given a lot of support during the program and there will be continued guidance provided after the process, including a mentor who will have meetings to help my application process to the internship in 2023.

Company Culture
What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
The general atmosphere was very inclusive and it seems Amazon has a lot to offer culturally. In the talks the different clubs were introduced and there seems to be a huge variety, something for everyone.

To what extent did you enjoy your placement / internship?
I enjoyed it a lot and took loads away from the three days. I did find some of the coding workshops to be dragging on time.

What advice would you give to others applying to Amazon
It is definitely worth while applying to this program if you are interested in computer science and have some background knowledge. It also provides good information on the many stages of the interview process for becoming an intern at Amazon
