Overall Rating

3.6 /5

The Overall Rating is the average of all the ratings given in each category. We take those individual ratings and combine them into one final score!

3.6/5 - Structure and Support

Overview of Role

Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
4/5
Answering calls and email, supporting customers and my team, writing essays and collecting evidence of how I perform different things within my role. Within my role I tend to work more back office work, so I tend to complaints a lot more, especially anything over 56 days. I support my team on how to handle tricky situations and I am able to write about this for my apprentership!
To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
2/5
Its very repetitive, some parts arent relevant to my job role at all so its awkward to write a whole essay on that topic. It is also difficult to evidence this. I.e. The finance topic in my apprenticeship, with my job role I don't have anything to do with finance as that is a separate part of the business

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
4/5
Yes, I have learnt about different learning styles and how it is important to cater to each one. With this knowledge I have altered how I share teams performance, I used to just give everyone a number on how many stats they hit. Now I create a table and a graph and colour it so everyone knows who is who and it's very clear!

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
The workshops are great! The packs given are very confusing though and sometimes we're not supported through them. I think if the packs were better laid out it would be easier but it's a just a very long pack of writing, it's difficult to read through and makes the work very boring!
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
My employer is great. I get all the time I need to work through everything. My Team leader ensures I get enough time and always opens up new opportunities he thinks would benefit my growth within the company, this benefits me as I gain experience in areas I would not have if I hadn't had this apprenticeship!
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
2/5
Not as much, most support is an hour a month, any questions I have in the mean time I email but sometimes get no response, this de-rails me sometimes as I'm stuck for a long period of time and can't move on.
When I do get in touch the sessions are really great! All questions covered and everything explained as best as it can be in the moment. Sometimes it takes working through something before I realise my questions
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
3/5
It's difficult to say currently as I haven't done much of the course I think once I complete more of the course I'll have a better idea. So far it has helped within my team. The module on team building I took to my next team meeting and it really helped. My team has worked better together since then!
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
4/5
I would love more frequent events for networking, we had once recently for apprenticeship week but nothing since then. I was unable to attend that even so I feel as though I missed out on a vital event as now I can't network with those people until next year.

Recommendations & Advice

Would you recommend E.ON UK to a friend?
Yes
Why?
The company is lovely, pay is great and they ensure you have everything you need to do a great job! They really set you up for success! However, the work is very taxing, creates a massive mental load which is difficult to deal with, the company is great though! They will support you through anything
What tips or advice would you give to others applying to E.ON UK?
You need to have a thick skin for this job, customer can be very mean and hurtful. If you can get past that the company is wonderful, there are always events or something going on where you can meet new people get support or find something new to try! You're never alone when in the office!
