5/5
I've greatly enjoyed the opportunities granted by this programme as I have traveled all over the country due to this job.

Skills Development

Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
5/5
In my time at grid I have developed my problem-solving abilities and teamwork greatly through several activities such as outward bounds and generally incorporating into an office has taught me many things.

Structure and Support

How well organised/structured is your programme?
4/5
Over six months there has been a couple of times where rescheduling has occurred however due to how packed our time table is this is understandable and these were due to circumstances outside of Grid's control.
How much support do you receive from your employer?
5/5
I receive all the support I feel I need and that has helped me to integrate into an office environment for the first time.
How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
5/5
A large portion of my office hours can be diverted towards university work if I feel it is needed, I am given great freedom to ask anyone in the business if I need help on anything and have never been turned away.
How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
5/5
My training is on-topic as it covers the hands on workings of the electrical system I would not normally be exposed to as a planner but I need to understand to properly plan.
Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
5/5
There are many teams across grid that hose extra-curriculars like coffee mornings or Chinese new year celebrations, additionally there's a team called "new-net" that hosts many events for new hires to better incorporate into the business.

What tips or advice would you give to others applying to National Grid?
Don't stress too much, the onboarding process is smooth even if you have no experience.
